HOW DO HOT WATER HEAT PUMPS WORK?
Heat pumps can help you to both save money and the environment by drawing the sun’s heat from the air, and transfer it to heat the water in the storage tank. Heat pump water systems work like a refrigerator in reverse, absorbing heat from the air and vaporising the refrigerant which is then compressed. The water runs through a network of pipes then the hot water is stored for you to use.

STC REBATES
The NSW Energy Savings Scheme is an incentive for replacing electric or gas hot water systems with (HEERs approved ) heat pumps water heaters at Residential and Small Business sites in NSW. This new scheme is based around each products energy saving percentage that creates the certificate amounts. ACP’S (Accredited certificate providers) can only create ESC’s ( Energy Saving Certificates ).
Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are an environmental type of currency issued after the installation of water heating, solar power, and any other renewable energy technology that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Everwarm can offer STC’s which is a government incentive to install energy efficient products. These rebates are subject to each installation but can range from $500-$1,500 depending on what product is installed.
NCBA REBATES
An additional incentive, which is separate to the STCs, is called the NCBA rebate (this can be added on top of the STCs).
When you replace an old electric hot water or gas hot water with a new energy efficient heat pump there are additional rebates that can be claimed.
These are subject to postcode and the system which is being installed and can vary from $500-$1000.
